Mural Tour on Saturday!

Come join VIM for a mural tour in Forest City! As part of the borough's Trail Town Days, we will introduce five new Powered by VIM murals painted this spring and summer. On Saturday, August 1, at 6pm, the tour starts at 503 Main Street in Forest City at the Trail Town mural painted by Jeff George in 2022.

The Forest City Mural Trail is more than a collection of public art. It's a celebration of the people, places, and stories that make Forest City unique. Each mural was inspired by ideas shared by local residents in a community-led process. On Saturday, you can learn about the artists that brought these ideas to life. They honor the borough's rich history while celebrating its future as a fun and welcoming place for outdoor recreation.

VIM received funding from Pennsylvania Creative Industries, powered by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional funding was provided through the Community Conservation Partnerships Program administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Borough of Forest City, and Honesdale National Bank Foundation.

The Forest City Mural Trail is continuing to grow—and you can be part of it. We would like to complete three additional murals for this project. Our state funding requires a match - so every dollar you contribute unlocks an additional dollar in matching funds.
