Forest City Facades
Forest City got a facelift, with help from VIM! Valley In Motion leads the borough’s Main Street Facade Program, supporting business owners as they upgrade their properties. VIM administers a program where businesses receive a reimbursement of 50 cents for every dollar, up to $5,000, that they spend improving the outside of their buildings.
Since the fall of 2022, 17 projects have been completed on Main Street. These improvements not only beautify an active, intact downtown area of the Lackawanna Valley, they support a key goal of the borough’s Outdoor Town Action Team. The Action Team is working to make Forest City a fun and welcoming place for outdoor recreation.
